BESA Club Rules

ABSOLUTELY NO QUESTS ON CLUB PROPERTY!

Club Rules:

1. 1st. Day of Trout Season till August 31., - 5 fish daily limit.

2. Sept. 1st. - Nov. 29th., 3 fish daily limit.

3. Nov. 30th. - the pond closes and reopens on the 1st. Day of Trout Season.

4. Absolutely NO ICE FISHING!!

5. A Pennsylvania Fishing License w/Trout Stamp is required to fish the pond.

6. The club grounds are restricted to members only. Your membership card must be on individuals' person with your current Belfast-Edelmans club pin in a visible location for spot checks and courtesies on the behalf of your fellow members when on club grounds.  All members 15 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult member while fishing at the pond and while using the shooting range.

7. Please pick up all trash and dispose in the garbage barrels provided.

8. Absolutely NO all terrain vehicles on club grounds and pond; (four wheelers, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, etc.).

9. Absolutely NO sledding, skating, tubing, snowboarding or skiing (e.g.) on club grounds and pond.

10. Absolutely NO discarding personal trash on property!

Firing Range:

    RULES & REGULATIONS OF THE SHOOTING RANGE

1. Range is open Monday - Saturday: 8am to Sundown, and Sunday 12 pm "Noon" till Sundown.

    Range is closed Sunday mornings till 12pm "Noon", New Years Day, Cleanup Day, Easter Sunday, Christmas, during kids, adult and catfish fishing contest, Hunter Safety Course and Sportsman Night, also dates deemed necessary by club officers.

2. Range use is limited to current members only, no guest or spectators allowed. Jr. members must be accompanied by an adult member. Junior members will observe all rules and regulations equal to an adult member.

Always Remember Safety First!

3. Membership card should be carried on one's person, with pin visibly displayed.

4. ABSOLUTELY no one is allowed down range when firing begins. All weapons are to be empty and action open when targets are retrieved. ALWAYS check down range BEFORE shooting.

5. Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in indefinite expulsion from the club grounds.

6. If range is full, a time limit of 1/2 hour will be in affect to allow equal use of the range to all members. Shooters also should show consideration for others waiting for an open bench. It's not uncommon, especially leading up to the bear and deer seasons, to find an adult teaching a youngster how to shoot, or to find someone having difficulty sighting-in a rifle. Show some patience in such circumstances, and if it seems appropriate, offer some assistance.

7. Shooting at targets at shorter distances will be allowed provided the range is not full.

8. Targets are to be hung on the rubber material.

ABSOLUTELY NO SHOOTING AT WOOD OR METAL SUPPORTS, BUNKERS, GLASS BOTTLES, CANS, TREES OR RANDOM OBJECTS, ETC.

9. No alcohol or illegal drugs allowed on the range at anytime.

10. Please pick up all casings and trash on the range, including targets, and dispose of them in the garbage barrels and/or brass pail (provided).

NOTE: In full cooperation between the Belfast-Edelmans Sportsman Association and the Plainfield Township Police Department, we will be closing the shooting range for qualification purposes on specific dates to be announced and/or posted.
