BESA Adult Fishing Contest Regulations

1. A valid adult fishing contest card and club memberships is mandatory to fish in the contest. The club follows all state regulations in regard to legal fishing methods
   *** Note *** a valid license and trout stamp are needed to fish in contest, if 16 years old and up. The Association is allowing 13 - 16 year olds to participate, but they need to pay $20.00.
   
   
2. Each person must register the morning of the contest before proceeding down to the pond (even if the entry card was obtained beforehand). Opening time to be posted.
   
   
3. The trout limit is five (5) per person, per day (not per trip). (releasing fish back into the pond is forbidden).
   
   
4. The judge will award prizes based on weight. In the event of a tie, the length will be used. The judge's decision is final.
   
   
5. Each contestant is limited to one (1) fishing pole and must keep each contestant's catch on a separate stringer or device.
   
   
6. Baits permitted for use during the contest in the pond are those legal in Pennsylvania, except hardware (no spinners, lures, etc.).
   
   
7. No one is permitted to stand or fish between the posts enclosing the water inlet pipe. This is for the pond's protection.
   
   
8. The contest starts at 9:00 A.M. and ends at 1:00 P.M., prizes will be awarded from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.. The contest runs rain or shine. Pond is stocked at 7:00 A.M..
   
   
9. Starting at 2:00 P.M. Saturday___________ Through 6:00 P.M. Sunday___________, the pond is opened to members only who also have a valid contest card. The contest card, as well as the membership card and button must be on person during this time. Normal club fishing regulations are in effect after 5:00 P.M. on Saturday.
   
   
10. Please place all litter in the barrels and help keep the club clean. Thanks.
    
    
11. Failure to abide by all of the above regulations may result in the loss of one or all of the following:
    1. Valid contest entry card
    2. Membership privileges
    3. Club grounds access
